As journalist, I discover stories and write about cultural and societal topics. My interest lies in stories evolving around social justice. How can we live a good life? What is fair? Which change is needed? Which influence do our actions and thinking have in other parts of the world?
I have the honour to meet people and share their stories with a broad audience. In the globalised world we live in, it is important for me to listen to each other and give a voice to the people who are often times just recognized as “the other”.
Inspired by the first female Tattooist in Tunisia, whom I spoke with about societies obsession with the female body, the rapper Boutaina, who raps against sexism, by monks in Morocco, Syrian artists and storytellers in Lebanon, I continue to search for stories with angles that have not already been spoken about and which tackle existing clichés and stereotypes.
